Our client was looking for a small skid including a pressurized mixing tank complete with removable mixer and a small batching vessel for a new product.

The Issues

The requirement for the mixers to be removable and the compact skid design presented challenges.

Tīra’s in-house design & drafting team worked closely with the client to come up with a design that met the required standards, budget and delivery timeframe.

The Brief

Aica, a leading provider of industrial adhesive systems, had an existing formalin tank that had reached the end of its serviceable life. The old tank needed to be relocated to a new foundation on site and a new tank fabricated to the latest design codes.

The Issues

Aica’s site in Richmond is identified as a Major Hazard Facility: it has limited space and a limited appetite for major works on site. On this highly regulated site, design, quality control and health and safety were paramount.

The Solution

Working closely with the client from day one, we developed a detailed design and fabrication method that covered off both quality and health and safety. An 8-metre diameter tank was fabricated in four completed sections and transported to site. Only three site welds were required onsite, greatly reducing hot works and third party inspections needed – a great outcome for both parties.

The Brief

CSL Behring Australia engaged Tīra Industry to design and fabricate eight process vessels as part of an upgrade project at their Broadmeadows facility in Victoria, Australia. Design and quality requirements needed to be of the highest level to meet CSL’s exacting standards.

The Issues

The vessel specification required design and fabrication capabilities to meet all the requirements of AS 1210 Pressure Vessel code, as well compliance with hygienic design and surface finish standards meeting the guidelines as outlined for Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Facilities.

The Solution

Tīra’s in-house design and drawing team has extensive experience in pressure vessel design and the manufacturing team are very familiar with the hygienic requirements of the food and pharmaceutical industries, thanks to years of experience supplying to these industries. Our quality system is third party accredited and our team of qualified welders familiar with the rigorous inspection criteria of pressure vessel code requirements.
